40th Anniversary Train
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the formation of the Hawksworth Coach Fund, the forerunner of the Great Western (SVR) Association, a special train will run on Saturday 27th September 2008.
All members and their friends are warmly welcomed to join us for what should prove a most enjoyable day. The train will depart Kidderminster 12·10pm and arrive back at Kidderminster 17·30pm, via Bridgnorth, with an extended stopover at Highley.
The motive power will be provided by GWR Small Prairie 4566 and the Dukedog 9017 visiting from the Bluebell Railway, both subject to availability. The stock will include the Association’s three Toplight carriages plus Siphon G 1257. There will be a 2 hour stopover at Highley allowing a visit to the Engine House to view 7325 along with all the other exhibits. A light lunch will be served.
We hope to arrange a run past of our train, the view from the Engine House will be quite stunning. Tickets are £15 each and include the train journey, entry to the Engine House and the light lunch.
