Donate online
Credit and Debit card donations can be made securely online via the Charities Aid Foundation. There's a big advantage here, any Gift-Aid will be added directly to your donation. If you pay tax in the UK just tick the Gift Aid box and, at no extra cost to you, the reclaimed tax will be added directly to your donation, so a £10.00 donation becomes (after the admin fee) a £12.18 donation to the Association.
Make a Regular Donation
One-off and regular donations by standing order can be one of the most effective ways to help the Association. Our progress is largely dependent on funds available and we still have plenty of challenges ahead. Please complete and send to your own bank. Available in HTML and PDF (26kB) formats.
Gift Aid Declaration
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your contributions worth nearly 30 per cent more, at no extra cost to you. For every £10 donated, the Association can claim an extra £2.82 from the Inland Revenue, making your donations and membership subscriptions worth even more.
Please complete either the HTML or PDF (33kB) forms and return.
Come along and help with our Working Parties
The main restoration project is 1910 Churchward Toplight 2426. We are also finishing off 1926 built bow-ended third 4786, Hawksworth Brake Third 2242 and repairing Riding Van No 89.
Working parties are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays with no special skills needed (although welcome). Email us on info@gw-svr-a.org.uk or phone Mick Haynes on 07733 310 060.
Donate items and helping in the Association's Shop
In the Cattle Dock is our restored Great Western Brake 1145 forms the bedrock of our sales
activities and is open most weekends throughout the year and most Thursdays. The stand relies on the good-will of members and friends to
make
donations of good quality books and other items of both railway and general interest. All proceeds go directly towards funding our restoration projects and so any items you can bring along are most welcome.
Assistance with manning the shop on weekends (and on weekdays when trains are running) would be welcome, little training is needed. Offers of help to Chris Haynes on 0121 421 6955 or e-mail chaynes52@hotmail.com
