Collett brake composite. Built 1934. Purchased in 1974 from Radyr.
This carriage and sister vehicle 6912 were both in user as sleeping vans and were in pretty poor condition when purchased. 6912 was broken up for spares, the underframe going to the West Somerset Railway to provide the chassis for their clerestory sleeping car. 6913 was the subject of a long restoration and is now in service on the Valley. It also went out on the mainline during the Great Western 150 celebrations and ran without a hitch which is more that can be said of some of the locomotives!
