82554 was built at Swindon 1912 as a vacuum fitted MINK A (Dia V12) and later converted for use as a Banana Van in 1925. It survived in departmental use until 1969 arriving on the Valley later that year so becoming one of the Railway's first goods wagons.

In 1994 it received heavy repairs including the replacement of every piece of timber on the wagon. 2004 saw the wagon re-painted by Bewdley's wagon department.
