Buffet Car 149 made it back in the LMS set for the Gala weekend, albeit briefly - it will now be going back into Kidderminster works for a mechanical overhaul. To the right, close-ups of some of Colin's marvelous signwritting.

1855 was out shopped Friday 4th August and taken by the works shunter, with GWR shunting truck 41736 to the fore...

...to be coupled up, back into the 'M' set. TSO 4509 is also back in the set following an overhaul funded by the SVR Rolling Stock Trust. |

With the repaint complete some of the Bewdley C&W team have visited Kidderminster to help return 1855 to traffic.

To speed the refurbishment of the maroon 'M' set, Mk1 Buffet 1855 has been away at Rampart's carriage and wagon works Derby for body re-build. Now back on the railway where work continues in Kidderminster paintshop.

BR Mk1 Brake Composite 21254, in the paint shop, stripped down to bare metal and filler being sanded down. This was one of the scruffs from the M set.

Mk1 Commonwealth bogies undergoing brake overhaul. These are hefty, weighing in at 6 3/4 tons a piece.

Under the A frame is stripped down bogie from LMS FO 7511 currently under restoration at Bridgnorth. 6th April 2006.
The vacuum brake cylinder test rig. This came from Swindon works in 1985 and can test up to four cylinders at once.
