Saloon No 80972

A new arrival to the railway, Hawksworth Saloon 80972, has been through the shops at Kidderminster carriage works. It has been brought by Phil and Caroline Swallow, owner of Taw Valley and members of the Association. Further details of the vehicle are available from the Vintage Carriage Trust's Carriage Survey.

Now out on the railway, 80972 is marshaled here between Gresley Buffet 643 and GWR Diner 9627. In the foreground a (very) long trench is being dug for a power supply to new washing plant.
