November 2006
The previous weekend a new scaffold was erected around the Museum Signal Box. 2nd November a crane was lifting in the heavy timbers for the upper sections...		...later in the afternoon the upper structure is taking shape. The new dock platform brickwork is complete but there's further work still to do before the new track can be laid. Photos: Paul Bennett

As part of the new dock platform project the S&T department have been re-routing cables and wiring up a new location cabinet to provide a clear run for the new trackwork.

The brickies are at work building the new dock platform. This will be similar in length to the other opposite Platform 1 and will be used for the diner services in conjunction the new kitchen building located between the Station and the Museum. Photos: Paul Bennett

Between the Station building and the Museum a new kitchen for the catering department is being built. It will be timber clad when finished. This marks the first stage of moving the Restaurant Car Services to the Museum side of the Station.		A view along the dock platform with the new Porters' building on the left-hand side.
Wrangaton Signal box with brickwork now complete. Bit windy today!		The newly constructed Pagoda shelter receives final coats of paint. This will be soon transported down to Northwood Halt.
